I have been asked to establish a home office for my employer’s benefit. I will work from home every day. I know I can deduct a part of my mortgage payment and my utlilties taxes, but can be inferred from my home loan payments? Should I consolidate loans, both for the total tax benefit?

Am I allowed to dedudct interest I pay on a second mortgage for taxes?
